Discovery & Needs Assessment

What happens: We’ll start with a collaborative conversation to deeply understand your unique needs and climate education goals. This involves:

  • Exploring your program objectives: We'll discuss your overall goals, such as fostering environmental awareness, developing critical thinking skills or promoting physical activity.
  • Defining Desired Learning Outcomes: You’ll articulate the specific knowledge, skills and attitudes you want students to gain from the program (e.g., "Students will be able to identify five native plant species," "Students will demonstrate teamwork and problem-solving skills"). Together, we’ll translate these to specific learning outcomes.
  • Understanding your students: We'll learn about their ages, grade levels, learning styles, existing knowledge and any special considerations.
  • Assessing your budget & timeline: Understanding your boundaries helps us tailor a program that fits your resources and timeframe.

Program Delivery

What happens: Based on our discussions, we’ll design a customized program that aligns with your desired learning outcomes and student needs. This includes:

  • Developing engaging & interactive activities: We'll create hands-on experiences, fieldwork and interactions with local experts, outdoor learning activities, community engagement, group projects and many others.
  • Creating a detailed itinerary: This outlines the program schedule, activities and how each activity contributes to the learning outcomes.
  • Preparing a comprehensive proposal: This includes a detailed description of the program, pricing, logistical information and a clear outline of how we'll achieve the learning outcomes.
  • Student and parent presentations: This prepares the participants and their families for what to expect on their trip. We will help get them excited and speak to any concerns or questions on the proposed program.

  • Analyzing program data: We'll analyze data to determine the extent to which the program achieved the desired learning outcomes.
  • Providing a final report: We'll provide a comprehensive report summarizing key findings, recommendations for improvement and the program's impact on student learning.

What happens: We’ll work closely with you to ensure a safe, smooth and successful program delivery. This includes:

  • Providing all necessary equipment & materials: We'll ensure you have everything needed for a safe and engaging experience.
  • On-site experienced leaders: Our team will be available to lead activities, answer questions and ensure student safety.
  • Developing engaging Continuously monitoring learning outcomes: Throughout the program, our instructors will actively assess student learning and make adjustments as needed to ensure the achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Maintaining open communication: We'll be in regular contact with you throughout the program to address any concerns and provide updates on progress towards learning objectives.
