VALUE CHAIN PROGRAM

This five-day immersive program for high school students (ages 14–16) explores the value chains of Kenya’s coffee and tea. In partnership with Kiambethu Tea Farm and Fairview Coffee, students will examine the science, art, and labor behind these beverages, along with their social, cultural, and economic impacts. Through real-world examples, like Germany’s $2.2 billion coffee export despite no coffee cultivation, students will investigate how Kenya can unlock more value for its farmers by understanding global trade dynamics and production processes.
